Okaro White, the 6’8” Brooklyn-born forward who’s played 44 NBA games over the last three years, has signed with the Long Island Nets, the team announced. Long Island acquired his G League rights last year and he became available when he was waived by the Wizards two weeks ago.
White is a a returning player, not a two-way, according to a league source. The Nets have until January 15 to sign a replacement two-way player after waiving Alan Williams two days ago. Williams is headed to China. He’s reportedly talking to the Xingjiang Flying Tigers in western China.
