Long Island Nets release training camp roster, reflecting late moves

After last minute trades that landed two players with NBA experience, the Long Island Nets on Sunday released their 16-man training camp roster. Long Island opens its camp Monday morning with Media Day at Nassau Coliseum, then move to HSS Training Center on Tuesday. Opening night is Friday, November 8, vs. the Maine Celtics at the Coliseum.

The roster includes eight players with G League experience but only two returning players, both locals, Patrick Gardner of Merrick, Long Island, and Nate Pierre-Louis of Plainfield, N.J.

In trades on Saturday, the Nets affiliate added two players with NBA experience: Colin Castleton, a 6’11” power forward who played for the Los Angeles Lakers as well as their G League club, the South Bay Lakers, last season and Kendall Brown, a 6’7” shooting guard who played for the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Mad Ants.
