The Long Island Nets traded the eighth overall pick in the 2021 NBA G League Draft to the Lakeland Magic on Monday for Jeremiah Martin, the former Nets’ two-way, NetsDaily has learned. Prior to the deal, the Magic held Martin’s draft rights.
Martin, a 6’2” guard out of Memphis, was signed as a two-way in January, played big and productive minutes in the Orlando “bubble” —particularly on defense, then was cut in favor of Chris Chiozza on the morning of Opening Night, December 22.
The Nets G League affiliate did not select any players in the rest of the G League Draft Monday, suggesting the team has their 10-man roster set.
