Long Island Nets lose, but Alexander, Hunter look good

Related Topics: Cliff Alexander, Brooklyn Nets

The Long Island Nets flew to Greensboro Friday to face one of the D-League’s other expansion teams in a rare night game, losing 126-108.

But the team’s two newest additions — R.J. Hunter and Cliff Alexander— had good games, at least on offense. Hunter, who the Long Island Nets signed after the Bulls waived him, led the Nets with 19 points (8-of-13, 2-of-7) and handed out seven assists in 31 minutes. The 6’8” Alexander, traded by the Magic affiliate in Erie to Long Island this week, scored 16 points (6-of-10, 0-of-1) and grabbed eight boards in 22 minutes.
