Cui Yongxi, aka Jacky Cui, is with the Brooklyn Nets. Although only a two-way player, Cui has suited up but not played in the first two games. That will start to change next week when the Long Island Nets gather for training camp in Westbury out on the island.
Cui, 21 and the only Chinese player in the NBA, will spend most of his time this season in Uniondale the home of Nassau Coliseum play and in Westbury, home of Long Island’s training facility.
We can expect that like previous Chinese and Chinese-American players, particularly his mentor Jeremy Lin, Cui will attract a lot of fans of Chinese and Asian heritage to Barclays Center but also Nassau Coliseum.
