The Long Island Nets built an early lead in Lakeland, Florida, Sunday evening and defeated the Magic’s G League affiliate, 125-111, giving them a 10-4 record for the season. They’re now third in the Eastern Conference.
The Nets were led by their Big Three: Brooklyn assignee Dzanan Musa and the team’s two two-way players: Theo Pinson and Alan Williams.
Musa finished with 27 points, six rebounds and six assists, shooting 6-of-9 from deep. It was his best game with the affiliate. Pinson, who had 20 points in the first half, finished with 22 points, three rebounds and four assists, shooting 5-of-9 from three.
