Dzanan Musa scored eight of his team-high 22 points in a big second-quarter surge that brought the Long Island Nets back from a 15-point deficit in a 128-115 NBA G League victory Sunday afternoon over the Delaware Blue Coats as Nassau Coliseum, improving the Brooklyn Nets’ affiliate to 4-0 on the young season.
Norvel Pelle converted an and-one play for the Blue Coats (0-4) with 3:41 left in the first quarter that put Delaware up 31-16 before Long Island responded with a 7-1 run to close the period, cutting the gap to 32-23.
In the second quarter, the Nets tied the game with a 9-0 run and the teams played ping pong with the lead until Mitch Creek gave Long Island the lead for good with a 3-pointer with 3:54 left in the half.
