The Canton Charge set a franchise record for points in a 151-125 win against the Long Island Nets in Canton Thursday night. The Nets were without Alan Williams, the G League’s leading rebounder for most of this season.
The Charge shot a season-best 59.6 percent from the field. They were at 60.3 percent as a team at halftime, resulting in a franchise-record 83 points before the break. By that point, the deficit had reached 16 points, reaching 31 in the fourth.
The Nets were led by Kamari Murphy, the 6’9” back-up center and power forward, who finished with a team-high 25 points and 12 rebounds.
