The Long Island Nets opened training camp Monday in North Hempstead with a roster of 17 hopefuls, including six players who were in Nets camp: two two-way contracts and four “affiliate” players.
The two ways are Alan Williams, a 6’9” power forward who has been hurt and rookie Theo Pinson, a 6’7” swingman. The camp invites include Mitch Creek, the 6’5” Australian forward; Jordan McLaughlin, a 6’1” point guard; Nuni Omot, a 6’9” stretch 4 and Drew Gordon, a 6’9” power forward. All but Gordon, Aaron’s 29-year-old brother, are rookies.
