The Long Island Nets had five players in double figures Tuesday night in Nassau but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Austin Spurs and Austin came away the winner, 113-94.
Milton Doyle led the young Nets with 22 points, followed by Jeremy Senglin with 15, Kamari Murphy with 14, Akil Mitchell with 12 and Tajhere McCall with 11. Isaiah Whitehead, who’s assigned to Long Island, didn’t play, suggesting he may be needed Wednesday night in Brooklyn with Caris LeVert doubtful with a left groin strain.
