Amanda Zahui B scored the first basket and went on to lead all scorers with 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the Liberty’s loss Tuesday to the Atlanta Dream in a preseason contest hosted by the Connecticut Sun at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
Zahui B, the Liberty’s 6’5”, 250 pound power forward, was one of three New York players in double figures. Kia Nurse, the team’s small forward, was second had 15 points and four assists. Avery Warley-Talbert and Tiffany Bias scored 12 and 11 points, respectively. Han Xu coming off the bench had four points and one rebound in 11 minutes.
