In a Saturday mailbag, Brian Lewis writes that Ben Simmons, who’s been rehabbing in Miami since March, has been “cleared for 5-on-5 play” and will be ready to go when he arrives back in Brooklyn next week.
It was one of several news items the Post writer shared in his weekly Post Sports+ column about the state of the Brooklyn Nets a month before the opening of training camp. He also wrote that Jimmy Butler, who can become a free agent next summer, “isn’t just open to Brooklyn, but fond of it.”
