Kevin Durant has a new team — and a new number.
Durant is swapping out his No. 35 for No. 7, the superstar revealed Sunday night. He posted a photo online of his new Nets jersey hanging in the Brooklyn locker room. The Nets and Durant made his four-year, max contract official the same day after agreeing on it a week earlier.
Durant wore No. 35 throughout his 12-year NBA career, as well as his one season at the University of Texas.
The reason for the change is unclear, and Durant won’t be sporting his new threads anytime soon.
