The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Saturday on an intriguing possibility: that Kevin Durant, through his Thirty-Five Ventures investment vehicle, might be interested in buying a stake in the Philadelphia Union, the City of Brotherly Love’s MLS team.
KD along with other Thirty Five Venture officials, traveled to Philadelphia Friday to meet with team owners Jay Sugarman and Richard Leibovitch at team headquarters in Chester, the Inquirer’s Jonathan Tannewald reported.
Neither Thirty Five Ventures nor Union ownership would offer comment beyond the Union spokesperson noting, “We entertained Thirty Five Ventures for a meeting with Union ownership.
