The Nets no longer own the NBA’s longest winning streak, thanks to a Pacers team that has owned them.
Brooklyn suffered a late collapse, falling to Indiana 114-106 at Barclays Center on Friday night.
It snapped what had been a league-best seven-game run, and was the ninth straight time they’ve fallen to the Pacers (21-12). That tied their longest skid against any team, matching their futility against the Celtics.
It will be all the more galling because — unlike past games, when the Nets (15-19) have taken beatings from Indiana — they led 103-100 with three minutes left before coughing up an 11-1 run that included coach Kenny Atkinson being ejected.
