Justin Anderson had a good debut for Team USA, scoring 11 points and three rebounds on 4-of-10 shooting in the teams win over Puerto Rico Thursday.
Anderson, who was selected to Team USA’s roster on February 13, was replaced by Phil Cofer in Uniondale. Cofer is expected to make his Long Island Nets debut Friday when the team returns back to action to face the Lakeland Magic in Florida, completing their lengthy six-game road trip.
Cofer is expected to fill in for Anderson while he continues to play for USA Basketball in the upcoming FIBA AmeriCup Qualifying Games.
