Joel Embiid still has “no idea” if he will be able to play in Game 1 of the 76ers first-round playoff series against the Nets.
The All-Star center confirmed his questionable status to reporters in Philadelphia one day before Saturday’s series opener.
The 7-footer missed five of the Sixers’ final seven games due to left knee soreness, an issue he has been experiencing since the All-Star break.
Nets coach Kenny Atkinson had said Thursday that Brooklyn is “planning on him playing” and preparing accordingly.
“We’ll adjust if he doesn’t play,” Atkinson said.
