Jeremy Lin out at least 2 weeks: Who will pick up the slack?

Jeremy Lin was supposed to be facing his old team of one season Friday, when the Hornets visit Barclays Center.

Instead, Lin is not facing Charlotte, or anybody else, for at least two weeks.

The Nets announced Thursday that Lin, injured the previous night in a 109-101 victory over the Pistons, is out with a strained left hamstring and “will be re-evaluated in two weeks.”

Losing their starting point guard is a potential gut-punch for the Nets — not that they are teeming with depth elsewhere.

Backup Greivis Vasquez is out for a third game with a bum right ankle.
