Jarrett Allen got totally dominated by the Knicks’ Enes Kanter in the Nets’ preseason opener, much the same way he was by bigger, brawnier centers last season. It’s a problem coach Kenny Atkinson — despite all his confidence in Allen — is going to have to figure out, for the sake of both the Nets and their young center.
“When there’s an elite rebounder on the floor, we can’t expect to do it 1-on-1. We need two guys to hit a guy like Kanter, maybe three. [But] Jarrett can be more aggressive and do a better job, there’s no doubt about it,” Atkinson said.
