LAS VEGAS — Nets center Jarrett Allen doesn’t think acquiring superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will just raise the bar for Brooklyn. It’ll raise their profile.
“Of course. Big names that might come like that, I think everybody is going to be [looking]. The eyes are all on us. Already the eyes are on us, because they think they’re going to come here,” said Allen, adding that everything is going to change with Durant and Irving’s arrival.
The Nets’ sixth-place, 42-40 record last year was considered a resounding success. Now, despite Durant’s Achilles injury, the Nets will be expected to climb up the standings and challenge the 50-win plateau.
