Jarrett Allen has learned his lesson.
As the Nets center has gained more attention for his powerful blocks on dunk attempts by All-Stars like Blake Griffin, LeBron James and most recently Giannis Antetokounmpo on Saturday night, he did himself a favor.
“I was smart, I turned off my notifications [on my phone],” Allen said with a grin Monday after practice. “But if I check, it’s all over. I see it everywhere.”
For good reason.
Unafraid to be on the wrong end of a poster, the 6-foot-11 Allen has been trying to assert himself around the rim in his second year as a pro.
