It’s fitting Jason Kidd, Rod Thorn are entering Hall together

Jason Kidd on the court and Rod Thorn in the front office were the architects of the Nets’ greatest run in their NBA history.

Fittingly, they were named to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame together.

Their moment came Saturday at the Final Four in San Antonio, and their enshrinement will come Sept. 7 in Springfield, Mass.

“It’s just very humbling, surreal to have this opportunity to play the game you love and to be honored with this class,” Kidd said. “I would like to thank the Hall of Fame for doing this. And it’s really, again, being a team sport.
