HOUSTON — Given the dreadful start to their season, there has been an understandable amount of attention given to the fact the Nets will be sending their first-round pick to Boston in June.
But while the draft-pick situation is depressing — they’re also giving their 2018 pick to the Celtics, as well as the right to swap them in 2017 — the one thing the Nets have going for them is what’s expected to be at least $40 million in salary-cap space next summer to try and lure free agents to remake their roster.
