Coming off of the best season of his career with the Indiana Pacers, point guard Donald Sloan hit the open market looking to cash in. His prospects in free agency ended up being a bit more shallow than originally projected and he wound up signing a partially-guaranteed veteran’s minimum deal with the Brooklyn Nets in August.
Entering the season as the fourth point guard on the roster with Jarrett Jack, Shane Larkin and Ryan Boatright joining him, Sloan had an uphill battle to find playing time even with his recent strong play with the Pacers.
Though he played the first couple of games, Sloan found himself inactive for all of the month of November, but was finally inserted back into the rotation when December rolled around.
