Coachspeak and clichés will tell you every game counts the same on paper. But reality is a different story.
Real life says Monday’s game against the Pistons will probably be the biggest game of the Nets’ season.
Make that their regular season, they hope.
“I’m going to argue that not every game [is the same],” Jarrett Allen said. “I mean, every game you win or lose; but Monday, that’s big. Because they’re the sixth seed right now and that’s where we want to be. So that’s one we have to knock off and win.”
The Nets (35-33) come into Monday sitting seventh in the Eastern Conference, essentially a half-game behind the red-hot Pistons.
