Former Knicks are finding themselves in the outer-borough

Larkin has been far better than anyone expected during year one in Brooklyn.

When the Nets signed a couple of former Knicks this summer, the resounding reaction in New York was one of relief...and that's mostly because New York is filled with Knicks fans.

Supporters of the orange and blue were hardly clamoring for the returns of Andrea Bargnani and Shane Larkin after a 17-win season featured those two all too much for their liking. Bargnani was done with the Knicks after three years. Larkin's reign ended after just one.

But after coming into Brooklyn on small, unremarkable deals, Bargs and Larkin have actually shown to have some value, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, especially after the team's third victory of the season, a 111-101 home win over the rival Celtics:

Brooklyn’s backups did just that in a 111-101 win over Boston, with Shane Larkin and Andrea Bargnani leading the way.
