TRENTON — Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had a plea to those casting ballots in the Iowa caucuses Monday: Don't vote for Donald Trump.
The basketball icon — who has publicly criticized Trump throughout the billionaire businessman's presidential campaign — wrote an open letter to Iowans that was published on the Washington Post's website, hours before ballots will be tallied in the nation's first presidential caucuses.
Abdul-Jabbar even called Trump the "Milli Vinilli of politics."
The Hall of Famer said the real estate mogul and former Atlantic City casino tycoon is a "classic conservative" on few issues and questioned the sincerity of Trump touting his Christian religion during the campaign.
