There wasn't a lot to recommend about in Markel Brown's first game in the Orlando Summer League. Maybe he was nervous or trying to prove too much, but his line was positively horrid: 3 points, on 1-of-7 shooting, including 0-of-3 from downtown, five personals, five turnovers, all in 22 minutes. Ugh.
Starting from that baseline, improvement wouldn't be difficult, but the 6'3" Brown slowly made his way back, averaging 8.3 points on 29.7 percent shooting, but 37.5 percent from deep in four games in Florida. Then, in Las Vegas, he looked like a player who knew that as second year guy, he had to step up.
