What’s intriguing about these guys is that they’re relatively unknown to the regular fan. Both have been benchwarmers for most of their career, but the Brooklyn Nets were able to swindle the Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards into deals that included them. Marks’ exchange with the Rockets was cash-based, and not giving up anyone for McDaniels is a steal. Nicholson, on the other hand, was a throw-in with the Bojan Bogdanovic deal.
Both players are appealing and do have a place in the league and on this Nets team. McDaniels is likely to get more playing time because he can do more and has a track record of being a productive player.
