Compared to the past few drafts, this year’s appears quite barren of international talent. In most mock drafts, the only players who resided overseas last season and are a lock to go in the first round appear to be: Frank Ntilikina, Terrance Ferguson, Isaiah Hartenstein and Rodions Kurucs.
However, there is always a handful of Euro’s who are selected dozens of picks earlier than expected. Georgios Papagiannis, for example, was projected to be selected in the late first to early second round last June. Surprisingly, he was picked in the lottery by Sacramento.
