Dzanan Musa, taken in the first round in June by the parent Brooklyn Nets, is growing up quickly. On Sunday, he scored an NBA G League career-high 27 points to power the Long Island Nets past the Lakeland Magic 125-111 at RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Fla.
Musa, the 29th overall pick by Brooklyn after three seasons with Croatian club Cedevita, ran his streak of consecutive 20-point games to seven and is now averaging 21 points per game while on assignment to Long Island.
The 19-year-old Bosnian added six rebounds, a game-high six assists and a steal in 36 minutes, hitting 10-of-15 overall and knocking down 6-of-9 from 3-point range.
