On a night where the shooting was colder inside Paramount Fine Foods Centre than the weather was outside, the Long Island Nets battled back to beat Raptors 905 97-90 Friday night in NBA G League action in Mississauga, Ontario, in the Toronto suburbs.
Long Island (3-0) remained unbeaten on the young season, taking the lead back for good on Jordan McLaughlin‘s 3-pointer with 4:45 remaining. The Nets had trailed by seven entering the final quarter before they were able to rally to hand Raptors 905 (2-1) its first loss.
The Nets struck quickly out of the game, with Brooklyn Nets assignee Dzanan Musa dropping nine of his team-high 21 points in the first quarter as Long Island surged to a 32-22 lead after leading by as much as 16 points.
