The third point guard position on any NBA team doesn’t exactly make front page headlines, but they can be the key factor in a game with mass implications. So far this preseason, Donald Sloan has made the argument to be that guy for the Nets. He only saw nine minutes in the first preseason game against Philadelphia where he posted four points and one assist. In the second game he saw more action and as a result, his stats were much more impressive. Against Detroit, Sloan finished with nine points and seven assists in 23 minutes.
It’s not just his performance in preseason that will help Sloan’s case for a roster spot.
