Acquired on the night of the 2016 Draft, Isaiah Whitehead showed some flashes during his rookie year. After injuries to both Jeremy Lin and Greivis Vasquez, Whitehead was tossed head-first into a significant role in the NBA.
While most second-rounders struggle in their initial campaign, Whitehead found a moderate degree of success. He appeared in 73 contests (26 starts) and scored 7.4 points per night.
However with the Nets acquiring D’Angelo Russell, and Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie emerging as legitimate playmakers, Whitehead has found himself assigned to the G-League for the majority of the season.
