The Long Island Nets kicked off their six-game road trip in Washington, D.C. Saturday squared off with the Capital City Go-Go in Washington. Long Island had lost its past two games at home against the Westchester Knicks and looked to get back in the win column. Despite a better team effort, particularly in the fourth quarter, Long Island fell to Capital City, 120-115.
It took a complete team effort to make it close, but unfortunately, Long Island couldn’t overcome the hole they dug themselves in the beginning of the game.
The first quarter was downright ugly for the Brooklyn Nets affiliate.
