LAS VEGAS — It didn’t take long for Jarrett Jack to step into the void created by Deron Williams’ departure.
Jack sat behind the bench for the Nets summer-league team’s 76-75 victory over the Cavaliers on Saturday night, and then stood next to it and said hello and congratulations to every player and coach as they walked off the floor.
It was a small gesture, but it also was a big part of the reason he chose to come to Sin City to spend several days around some of the young teammates who will be joining the Nets at training camp this fall.
