It’s going to be a busy summer.
Not only do the Nets have three picks in the NBA Draft (at Nos. 21, 22 and 51) and a hectic first two weeks of July with NBA free agency and the Summer League but three, maybe four players from last year’s roster — Mikal Bridges, Patty Mills, Yuta Watanabe and possibly Ben Simmons — will be playing for three national teams during August and September in the FIBA World Cup across Asia, quite possibly a record for the franchise.
There will be national team training camps, “friendly” — exhibition — games and then the grueling World Cup schedule played out in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia, ending just a few weeks before NBA training camps open.
