Day’Ron Sharpe, who’s been turning some heads lately with his strong play, is the latest Brooklyn Net to miss significant time this season. Sharpe, who went down in the Nets ignominious loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, has been diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee which will require him to miss at least two weeks. He will rehab during that time then the team medical and performance staff will give their assessments of his progress.
The diagnosis had to be a bit of a relief for the Nets organization. The suddenness of the fall and the pain that the 21-year-old exhibited when he fell suggested a number of possibilities, a hyer-extended seemed like the least worst option.
