Coming into Sunday’s game against Indiana, the Brooklyn Nets were in control of their own playoff destiny. After winning a nail-biting game against the Milwaukee Bucks the day before, the Nets were in a position to possibly clinch a playoff spot.
After a Miami loss earlier in the day, all the Nets had to do was win and they were in.
From tipoff, the Nets played with a sense of urgency and performed like a team that wanted to make the playoffs. They started off the game on a 9-0 run and never trailed after taking a lead with 4:19 left in the first quarter.
