Besides that one player who plays in Indiana, most can agree that Sabrina Ionescu is the Stephen Curry of women’s basketball. Besides the charisma, they both have, along with the media friendly smile, they have ability to delight fans with, an obvious characteristic that puts them on a higher pedestal from other players: their shooting.
Right before the All-Star and Olympic breaks, the sold out crowd at Barclays Center watched Sabrina put up 30 points against the Connecticut Sun. Ionescu got there by shooting 50% from the field and 54% from 3-point range. Her performance ignited the crowd every time her skill was displayed, but there’s something even more impressive, which was how beautiful it was to see her get her shot off rather than the scoring itself!
