The 2024 Summer Olympics are set to commence with the Opening Ceremony on Friday, and, for the first time ever, three NBA players will be bearing their nation’s flag. LeBron James will become the first male American hooper to carry out the honor, while Giannis Antetokounmpo will be proudly repping Greece’s colors.
And on Tuesday morning, it was announced that the Brooklyn Nets’ own Dennis Schröder will be carrying the German flag along the Seine at the start of the games — the first ever Opening Ceremony not held in a stadium.
