Rumors began swirling Monday regarding the Brooklyn Nets exploring the possibility of signing DeAndre Jordan.
The 11-year veteran is a free agent after splitting time between Dallas and New York last season and it is believed that his off-court friendship with Kevin Durant may be a critical factor in the team’s potential pursuit.
In observing the NBA marketplace, the Nets would seemingly be a long shot to land Jordan. Only 13 players in the NBA averaged double-digit rebounds and they all were paid at least $12 million or were on a rookie deal.
