For the second straight game, the Brooklyn Nets will catch an opponent on the second game of a back-to-back, as the San Antonio Spurs visit Barclays Center Monday night after taking on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
The Nets (31-30) beat the Charlotte Hornets on the road Saturday night, 117-115, for just their third win in their last six games. The Spurs (33-28) took a 130-118 drubbing from the Knicks for their second straight loss and sixth in their last seven contests.
D’Angelo Russell matched his career-high with 40 points in the win at Charlotte, scoring 14 of those in the final 3:24 as Brooklyn came from an eight-point deficit in the final 3:12, going ahead for good on Russell’s deep 3 with 39.
