It’s always those encounters with former friends that hurt the most.
In the first game of the two day matchup between the Knicks and the Nets, it was our old buddy Mikal Bridges who sealed New York’s 124-122 victory with a clutch block on Dennis Schroeder after Jalen Brunson had hit the game-winning three at the other end.
From Brunson going crazy with a 37 outburst on the night, Bridges having an efficient 22 points on over 50% from the field, and OG Anunoby adding in 25 points on an array of tough shots, the Knicks were able to overshadow Cam Thomas’ brilliance, as he erupted with 43 in what many consider one of his favorite arenas to play in.
