As predicted, the Nets were able to keep it close against the Boston Celtics Tuesday night. But something happened that was rare. Usually, opponents will gain life in the fourth quarter and win off of momentum. This time, Brooklyn pretty much shot themselves out of contention. More specifically D’Angelo Russell, who shot 6-of-18 from the field and 4-of-13 from 3-point land. After each Russell miss late in the fourth, it seemed like the Celtics were able to capitalize. And let’s not even get into Baylor Scheierman, whose 20 points seemed like 40 points from all the shots he was making.
