Brooklyn (33-33) is tied with the Detroit Pistons (31-31) for sixth place in the Eastern Conference, 2½ games ahead of the Charlotte Hornets and Miami Heat, both at 29-34 and tied for eighth.
The Orlando Magic (30-36) are a half-game in back of the Hornets and Heat in 10th place after losing Tuesday night to the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Washington Wizards (26-37) are three games out of the eighth and final playoff spot.
