It turns out that the Brooklyn Nets did make a deal before the trade deadline… and it didn’t include Brook Lopez (at least not yet).
Instead, the Nets gave up shooting guard Bojan Bogdanovic and power forward Chris McCullough to the Washington Wizards. In return, Brooklyn received a 2017 first-round pick, power-forward Andrew Nicholson, and former Net shooting guard Marcus Thornton.

The biggest piece of this deal was certainly Bogdanovic, who would have become a restricted free agent at the conclusion of this season.
