Hello Brooklyn ... and Hello, Coney Island, too.
The Nets will introduce their first Brooklyn-born player Tuesday afternoon at the NetsShop on Stillwell Avenue in Coney Island, a long three pointer away from the apartment where Isaiah Whitehead grew up. Whitehead is the third Net player from Coney Island, following Stephon Marbury and his cousin, Jamel Thomas.
The Coney Island native and Abraham Lincoln High School alum was selected with the 42nd pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and was acquired by Brooklyn in a draft night trade with the Utah Jazz.
