Brooklyn Nets SG Caris LeVert out Tuesday with sprained thumb

On Sunday night, the Brooklyn Nets suffered an injury-related setback in their loss to the Phoenix Suns. In the midst of the defeat, small forward Caris LeVert suffered a sprained thumb after taking a fall. He left the game early and went for an MRI on Monday.

“It first happened in the second quarter, and it got banged again in the third quarter. So it happened a couple times,” LeVert said, per Brian Lewis of the New York Post. “It happened on a back cut, got banged.”

Now, the team is announcing that LeVert will sit out for their game on Tuesday night against the Utah Jazz.
