Brooklyn Nets say goodbye to former No. 1 pick Anthony Bennett

The Brooklyn Nets have waived Anthony Bennett, the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft back in 2013.

Bennett played in 23 games for the Nets, his fourth team since entering the league through the Cleveland Cavaliers in four years ago. He averaged 5.0 points and 3.4 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game.

The 6-foot-8 forward spent one season with the Cavs before they traded him to Minnesota in the deal for Kevin Love. He was waived by the Timberwolves after a year and spent a season with the Raptors in his hometown of Toronto.
